With 80% of people looking up reviews before they buy a product I couldn't disagree more. Most of my customers have done research before they come in to purchase my products.
With ecommerce is someone buys a widget, I can use an app to send them an email a week later asking for a review. If they buy that same widget in my retail store it breaks down and can't send that email to review the widget. This is the concern that needs to be addressed.
Otherwise why would I pay $49 for a PoS app. When I could have a laptop sitting here to do the same thing by placing an order and checking them out in store? At this point the functionality would work better as they'd get the reviews email and I'd pay $49 less a month.
